376 Bay St, Brighton-Le-Sands
If you’ve walked along Bay Street lately and wondered where everyone seems to be heading, It’s Ek'sentrik — the new cafe that quietly opened in November 2025 in The Brighton Hotel space facing Bay Street.

From the moment you approach, it feels and looks different. The design is gorgeous. Earthy tones, soft textures, beautiful pottery, sculptural details and statues. There’s a relaxed coastal ambience to the space, but also something Mediterranean about it.

Sit outside and you could almost convince yourself you’re at a laid-back Greek island bar. It blends beautifully with Brighton’s beachside.
Then there’s the coffee. And just when you think it can’t get better, it arrives with a chocolate brownie on the side, a real brownie. Such a nice gesture, and locals notice things like that.

Food is exceptional with all-day breakfast, lunch, and a variety of coffees, iced drinks & smoothies (Nutella), focusing on fresh produce.

Design and coffee alone don’t explain why Eccentric is already packed most mornings. The real magic is the people.
Let’s start at the front , because that’s where it all starts. The hostess is one of the friendliest and most stylish you’ll meet anywhere in Brighton-Le-Sands.

She greets you with a smile as you walk up to the outdoor seating area, genuinely happy to see you, and finds you a table without fuss. If the place is busy (and it often is), she doesn’t brush you off or leave you guessing. She tells you exactly how long the wait will be. That’s service. And locals here really appreciate being welcomed properly.
Once you’re seated, you notice something else.

The staff move like they’ve done this together for years. Baristas, waiters, hostess everyone is in sync, working like clockwork without it feeling robotic. Orders flow. There’s a calm efficiency to it. Smiles are real. Conversations are natural. You don’t feel rushed, and you don’t feel forgotten.
It’s rare to see a team this aligned so early in a venue’s life, and a lot of that comes down to leadership. Manager Maree is doing an exceptional job here. You can feel it in the way the staff carry themselves, in how smoothly everything runs, and in the atmosphere she’s clearly cultivated.

Spend a bit of time at Ek'sentrik and you start to notice the crowd it draws. Morning regulars grabbing their daily coffee. Friends lingering over conversations that stretch longer than planned. Couples popping in after a beach walk. Locals who clearly feel at home here already. It’s becoming Brighton’s spot.
What really stands out is the service, there’s a clear respect for the community it serves. Brighton locals value warmth, style, and places that feel welcoming. Eccentric understands that perfectly.

And maybe that’s why it already feels like part of the neighbourhood . It’s the kind of café you recommend without hesitation.

The kind you bring visitors to when you want to show off your area just a little. The kind you keep going back to because you know you’ll be looked after.

So welcome to Brighton, Ek'sentrik. You’ve have made an impression for sure. With your beautiful space, excellent coffee, genuinely friendly service, and a team that clearly cares, you’ve given locals something special. If this is just the beginning, we can’t wait to see what you have in store next.
